Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Liège Waffle?

A buttery, yeast-raised brioche dough, studded with Belgian pearl sugar. As it cooks, the pearl sugar caramelizes on the outside, creating a golden, lightly crisp crust that gives way to a warm, soft, and chewy interior.

What is pearl sugar?

A specialty Belgian sugar formed into small, hard crystals that resist melting during baking. When folded into dough, the pearl sugar creates pockets of caramelized crunchy goodness, adding a delightful texture and a touch of sweetness .

What is the difference between a Brussels waffle and a Liège Waffle?

Unlike the light and airy Brussels waffle, the Liège waffle is made with a rich, brioche-style, pearl sugar studded dough, rather than a batter. This dough creates a denser, chewier texture with a caramelized, slightly crispy exterior. Brussels waffles are typically larger with deep pockets, while Liège waffles are smaller, sweeter, and delightfully indulgent even without toppings.

What is the best way to reheat my waffle?

Our classic waffles are perfect for reheating! For best results, we recommend using an oven or toaster oven (Whatever you do, please don’t use a regular toaster—unless you’re in the mood for burnt sugar, smoke, and possibly shopping for a new toaster.) We recommend preheating your oven or toaster oven to 350–400°F and heating your waffles for about 2-4 mins.
